What should I wear?
We get asked this one a lot, and our simple answer is, "Clothes." Really, come casual and dress just like you would if you were going to spend time at a friend's house. But please, wear something!
What is The Gathering like?
Although the format can change, the common ingredients you'll find in all of our services are: passionate worship, practical teaching and people who are on your side. We make sure you've got an outline that helps you follow along with the message, and love incorporating media into the way we teach because it helps us all remember the important stuff!
What about my children?
When you attend The Gathering, you'll find a nursery for children up through age 2 (we call it WeeTown) run by people who love children! It is safe (all workers have been background checked) and your child will love it. Older children up through 5th grade worship together with all of us and then go to KidCity for children's church.
What can I expect the first time I visit?
Let's see…great coffee, a relaxed atmosphere, the good feeling that comes from being around real people, a special gift. Along with that, you can come knowing that we won't point you out or embarrass you.
How can I get plugged in at The Gathering?
If you're ready to make The Gathering your home (and we're pretty sure you're going to want to!), it all starts at Discover The Gathering. DTG is an informal class that meets during the 9a service on the first Sunday of every other month. It's a great place to learn about our history, our passions, values and beliefs. In short, it's where you'll start to understand WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO THE WAY WE DO IT! At the end, you'll have the opportunity to take the next step of being planted (what we call membership) and/or serving. To make sure we've got your seat reserved at the next Discover The Gathering, you can sign up online or check the "I want to attend the next Discover The Gathering" box on a Connection Card on your next visit.
