So many times as a culture we are guilty of saying something - even something we really mean - and yet doing nothing. Or, in the church we become guilty of making service only about the big things like misison trips, Billy Graham crusades, and responding to national and international tragedies.

I ♥ My City is our attempt at The Gathering to make service a much more intentional, regular event, and something that anyone can do if, in fact, they are willing. Once a month we'll meet together and go serve someone in our city who needs it. Often, all that it will require of you is a little bit of time and energy plus a whole lot of smiling. As a church, we want to be intentional in living out the truth of 1 John 3:18: "Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth."
